Metal mount for a blowfish
Can anyone recommend the best way to build a metal mount for a blowfish that keeps it supported without having to insert anything into the fish?
Thanks!

How to mummify whole duck head? Advice appreciated.
Not traditional taxidermy, sorry. But I can’t find answers. I’m not sure if salt is enough, so I’d appreciate some advice.

How long do I bury a squirrel to deflesh it??
galleryThis squirrel was found by one of my friends yesterday. She posted it on her Instagram story and I asked her for the location. Today once school ended I went to grab it and found that it had been driven over. One of its eyes was popping out of its head onto the pavement and its innards were falling out of its stomach, it was nasty. The odor was there but it definitely wasn’t strong, so I assume it hasn’t been dead for too long. I’d like to avoid defleshing methods that produce strong odors since I’m a teen living with my parents. Open air and macération are out of the question - so I’m burying it, but I don’t know how long to bury it for. I know if you leave something buried too long, even the bones will decompose. How long should I leave it in my soil to ensure all the meat is gone but the bones are still okay?

Attaching horns
So I have this mummy fox head I am wanting to attach horns to. What are the steps to doing this? Highly doubt hot glue would do the job due to the fur on the head

Frozen Brick of Raccoon Head
I was going to attempt to boil down a raccoon head to preserve the skull. However, I went to soak it in water for a day, but the weather turned to shit and other obligations got in the way, so now I have a raccoon head frozen in a bucket of solid ice for almost a month. Is there any way to save this? Any advice will help as I don't want this to go to waste.

Doubt about cleaning a cat skull
So I got a cat that I found drown in a river near my grandma's house and it is in a perfect state (nothing broken, cut etc) and I'm planning start cleaning the skull first. There's lies a question, how do I mannage to clean the brain matter? I know is pretty tight and I can use the spinal cord hole but it bothers me to think that maybe something will remain inside that and, problably, will stink with time. I use clorox once with a bird but it damaged so much the bone to the point to break so easily, how much ML per L should I use to avoid it and help me get rid of the possible brain matter remains?
*maybe this communit can help, I know thats not about maceration but who knows? :v *

Found a dead raccoon earlier this month. Learned how to skin, tan, and taxidermy to make this seat for the chopper I’m building. Definitely not perfect but it was incredibly fun learning experience.

Vinegar For Pickling?
So I read online somewhere that you can use equal parts water and vinegar, plus a pound of salt for every gallon of water, to make a pickling solution for a deer hide. But every video I've watched said you have to have "Pickling Acid". Can you use vinegar instead? I'm trying to mount my 1st ever deer and don't wanna mess it up lol
Thanks!!!

Hedgehog taxidermy?
Hi there. Our pet hedgehog died last night(RIP Sparky 😢) and was wondering if it's a viable option to get him taxidermied. Anyone here know roughly how much it would cost and what I should do with him in the meanwhile? Thanks in advance.
