Hey everyone!

Welcome to the month of February! Following the Haas VF-23 livery reveal yesterday, the remaining nine teams are set to reveal their new cars (or liveries) in the next week or two. Later this month Netflix will drop a fresh batch of Drive to Survive episodes and that same week the cars will hit the track in Bahrain for the pre-season test. *All times UTC

In short: February will be full of F1 content, so we've decided to call an end to the off-season.

Effective 6 PM UTC today, we're resuming the regular moderation standards. This means that you should expect to see fewer random throwbacks, off-topic posts and other more "casual" content.

Additionally, we ask you to keep the following guidelines in mind when participating in the reveals:

  • No screenshots from streams or videos.
  • Post galleries instead of multiple single images.
  • Official sources are given priority. For example the car reveal video from McLaren's own YouTube will be prioritized over a rehosted version on a different channel or platform.
  • Even if you're first, if better images or videos are posted after yours, your post may be removed.

Alright, that's all for today. Let's make 2023 a season to remember!

So how is all this going to work?

u/brrrake will be streaming on Twitch, providing context and answering questions about the race.

u/brrrake is a former Performance Engineer, who started his career with Force India, and later went on to work for Red Bull - both at the track and at the factory. He's since left Formula 1 to become a content creator, and it just so happens that Spain 2012 was his very first race in F1.

He can't show the actual race on stream, so for that we'll use MultiViewer for F1, and it's brand new feature: Watch Parties.

Wait.. Multiviewer for F1? What's that?

MultiViewer is an app for Windows, Mac and Linux, that lets you customize your F1 TV viewing experience - Essentially letting you create a pitwall in the comfort of your own home. I've been using it since it came out, and it's absolutely revolutionised the way I watch F1.

In order to use MultiViewer, you'll need an active F1 TV subscription (Access or Pro). The app itself is free, and not affiliated with Formula 1 or F1 TV.

Okay. But what are watch parties then?

Watch Parties is a new feature in MultiViewer for this season. It syncs all playbacks of a given race to all participants of the watch party, which means no more "Click start at exactly 3 PM and pray to God there's no buffering". It will keep all feeds in sync, including onboards and live timing, so it's just like watching live all over again.

Watch Parties is a beta feature that we're currently testing with MultiViewer. Any issues or feedback can be submitted on the official MultiViewer Discord or /r/F1MultiViewer .

You'll need to have the international feed open during the watch party for the sync to work with other available feeds, like onboards and live timing. You can mute and hide the international feed if you don't want to watch it.

We'll post a race thread on Friday, where you can discuss the action as the race goes on. No spoilers please!

Awesome! I can't wait! How do I join?

You can subscribe to F1 TV at https://f1tv.formula1.com.

You can join Brrrake's stream on Friday at https://www.twitch.tv/brrrake.

You can download MultiViewer for F1 at https://muvi.gg.

You can join the MultiViewer Watch Party on Friday at https://muvi.gg/r/formula1. (You'll have to have Multiviewer open when clicking the link, for it to work properly)
