What’s the difference between beer nuts and deer nuts you, ask?
Beer nuts are $1.50 a lb. And deer nuts are under a buck.

The girls are out at the beach hoping to find a big buck on the surf.

I saw a group like that playing in the surf on Angel Island, across from San Francisco. Swimming and jumping around in the waves during the sunset. I was camping by myself on the island, it was such a cool moment!

Deer are excellent swimmers, by the way. I've seen them swimming over a mile off of the Michigan coast numerous times.

They swim from Long Island, NY to Fire Island all the time. It’s Incredible!

I live by an enormous lake, and in the middle of it is a little uninhabited island called Deer Island because they swim out there to hang out.

They’re just hunting great whites and orcas. A bit of bait and attack happening there on the beach.

They are in the middle of the rut right now, if this video was taken within the last two weeks I would be willing to bet that the buck chased those does down to the water trying to mate with them. Deer typically hate hanging out around moving water because they can’t hear predators around them.

It's cool to see them running from the water coming in just like humans do

I once hit a deer that leapt out from seemingly nowhere (behind a sand dune basically) onto highway 1 in california. I was absolutely not looking out for deer while driving next to the beach at 3am but luckily I was able to swerve and just barely clip him and he flew just a few feet and ran off into the night. That's the night when I first learned that deer like the beach.

I can understand people who hunt them for food, but I will never understand how people hunt them for fun.
